Position: Floor Manager
Classification: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Reports To: Assistant General Manager / General Manager
Overview:
Seeking a hands-on, service-driven Floor Manager to lead day-to-day front-of-house operations and ensure our guests experience exceptional service at every turn. The ideal candidate will bring energy, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in hospitality, helping to support and elevate both staff performance and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Guest Experience
- Lead front-of-house during service, managing flow and upholding service standards
- Act as the point person on the floor, responding promptly to guest feedback or concerns
- Oversee dining room readiness, ensuring cleanliness, proper setup, and ambiance
- Assist in opening/closing procedures and ensure smooth shift transitions
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws
Team Leadership & Training
- Support the training and development of FOH staff through mentorship and daily coaching
- Ensure team is knowledgeable about menus, ingredients, allergens, and service steps
- Help maintain appropriate staffing levels and shift coverage
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment, leading by example
Cleanliness, Inventory & Supplies
- Conduct pre-service walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Assist with receiving deliveries and ensuring proper storage
Administrative Support
- Participate in service meetings and contribute to team goal setting
- Help with timesheet management, tip outs, and daily reporting as needed
- Maintain accurate notes on service issues or guest feedback for leadership review
Requirements
- 1–2 years of restaurant supervisory experience or strong FOH leadership experience in high-volume settings
- Food Handlers Certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, guest service, and team dynamics
- Familiarity with POS systems and table management tools
- A genuine passion for hospitality and team development
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
