Key Responsibilities

Pastry & Bakery Production

  • Assist in the daily production of laminated pastries, artisan breads, cakes, desserts, and specialty baked goods.
  • Execute recipes with precision while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
  • Support dough preparation, lamination, baking, finishing, and decoration.
  • Assist with seasonal menu development and recipe testing.

Quality & Execution

  • Maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship, flavor, and presentation.
  • Ensure proper portioning, consistency, and quality control across all products.
  • Execute decorative finishes with precision and creativity.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry kitchen.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and food safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory, product rotation, ordering, and ingredient management.
  • Properly maintain pastry equipment and workstations.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and culinary team to execute daily production and service.
  • Support pastry production for restaurant service, café offerings, special events, and private events.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional kitchen culture.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional pastry or bakery experience in a high-quality restaurant, bakery, luxury hotel, or resort.
  • Experience with laminated doughs, artisan breads, plated desserts, and pastry production strongly preferred.
  • Culinary or pastry school education is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pastry fundamentals, baking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for craftsmanship, seasonal ingredients, and continuous professional development.
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-first approach.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout an 8–10 hour shift.
  • Frequently bend, lift, reach, and move throughout the kitchen.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary up to $80,000, commensurate with experience
