General Manager

Base Salary: $90,000-$100,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven General Manager to lead operations for a high-volume, chef-driven restaurant concept. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a strong operational mindset, exceptional people skills, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including team leadership, financial performance, guest satisfaction, compliance, and overall business growth. The General Manager will work closely with senior leadership to maintain operational excellence while fostering a positive and high-performing culture.


Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Passion for hospitality and guest experience
  • Strong understanding of food and labor cost management
  • Knowledge of POS systems and third-party delivery platforms
  • Strong wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge preferred
  • Professional communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
  • Food Handler Certification meeting local requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed


Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hospitality Leadership

  • Ensure all guests receive warm, welcoming, and attentive hospitality at all times
  • Lead by example in maintaining elevated service standards and positive guest interactions
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and feedback

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop both management and hourly team members
  • Conduct regular leadership meetings and ensure effective communication across teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and collaboration
  • Support ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development initiatives

Operations Management

  • Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and labor regulations
  • Manage restaurant readiness for inspections and uphold operational standards
  • Maintain organization and accuracy across delivery platforms, menus, and hours of operation

Financial Performance

  • Manage labor scheduling and staffing levels to align with operational and financial goals
  • Oversee cash handling, payroll administration, petty cash reconciliation, and deposits
  • Support sales-driving initiatives and identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Monitor operational costs while maintaining quality and service standards

Communication & Culture

  • Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with staff and leadership
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for newer management team members
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and solutions-oriented workplace culture
