General Manager – Restaurant Operations

Location: North County San Diego, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Annual Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000 DOE

Position Overview

As the General Manager of a single restaurant location in North County San Diego, you will have full ownership of day-to-day operations, team leadership, and guest experience. You will be responsible for executing brand standards at the highest level while building a strong culture rooted in accountability, hospitality, and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, guest-facing environments, understands the balance between people, process, and performance, and takes pride in running a best-in-class restaurant.


You’ll Be Responsible For

Experience Leadership

  • Own the full guest journey—from digital ordering through order fulfillment—ensuring a seamless, consistent, and elevated experience
  • Lead by example on the floor, reinforcing hospitality standards and service excellence

Team Performance & Culture

  • Hire, train, lead, and develop a high-performing team of managers and hourly team members
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Coach leaders and team members through regular feedback and performance conversations

HR & People Operations

  • Oversee staffing operations including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and labor compliance
  • Partner with HR to ensure consistent, compliant execution of people-related processes and documentation

Standards & Training

  • Implement and uphold operating procedures and service standards that drive consistency and quality
  • Ensure training programs are executed effectively, and new hires are set up for success

Operational Execution

  • Manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across all shifts
  • Coordinate BOH and FOH teams to support smooth service and order fulfillment

Tech-Enabled Performance

  • Use guest feedback, operational data, and reporting tools to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Troubleshoot issues proactively and implement solutions that improve performance

Brand Representation

  • Uphold brand standards related to cleanliness, organization, professionalism, and thoughtful service
  • Ensure the restaurant consistently reflects the brand’s values and visual standards

Metrics & Accountability

  • Own restaurant-level KPIs including guest satisfaction, order accuracy, labor efficiency, food cost, and team productivity
  • Use data to guide decisions, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement


Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a restaurant or QSR environment
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and deliver consistent guest experiences
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, systems, and compliance
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices and labor law compliance
  • Experience with digitally enabled or delivery-first food concepts preferred
  • Solid financial acumen, including labor management and cost controls
  • Passion for clean food, hospitality, and team development
  • Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
