The Floor Manager shall oversee the daily operations of the expansive dining room, ensuring exceptional service, coordinating the staff, and managing guest relations. This position necessitates strong leadership capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to sustain a polished and professional atmosphere within a high-volume and high-end dining environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and driving overall

service excellence.

• Lead by example on the floor to ensure attentive, professional, and efficient service.

• Build strong relationships with guests, addressing any concerns with empathy and

efficiency.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health

and safety regulations.

• Manage dining room flow and table assignments to maximize guest satisfaction and

efficiency.

• Partner with the Back of House team to ensure seamless coordination between

kitchen and service.

• Conduct staff training, pre-shift meetings, and ongoing development to ensure

team alignment.

• Support administrative duties including daily reports, opening/closing checklists,

and scheduling.

• Monitor sales, labor, and service metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Represent and protect the brand image through consistent attention to detail and

guest interaction.


Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a

management role within a fine dining or high-volume restaurant.

• Proven experience managing teams of 30 or more employees.

• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and spirits, with an understanding of technical and

service aspects.

• Proficiency with POS systems and reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Resy).

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.

• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Spanish, French, or Italian are a

plus.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.


Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Frequent physical movement, including bending, reaching, and navigating tight

spaces.

• Capable of performing job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and safety

regulations.


Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
