Position Title: Director of Sales

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the account management team while actively driving revenue growth for the business. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage, mentor, and develop the sales team while personally engaging in sales activities to secure key business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate catering sales, a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, and excellent leadership skills to drive team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Manage and develop a high-performing 7-person sales team
  • Set clear performance goals, sales targets, and KPIs for team members
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations to enhance productivity
  • Foster a positive, motivated, and results-driven sales culture
  • Oversee business development and client retention efforts

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the corporate event market
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and industry events
  • Conduct sales presentations, site visits, and tastings with prospective clients
  • Close deals to meet or exceed sales targets

Sales Strategy, Execution & Client Experience

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and sales performance data to refine strategies
  • Collaborate with the CMO on promotional campaigns, sales materials, and strategic outreach events
  • Work with the CMO to strategize and close key account sales
  • Champion and ensure delivery of superior client care across all sales touchpoints

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with the CMO to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction
  • Align sales efforts with company-wide objectives and long-term goals
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a sales team
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and implement effective strategies
  • Hands-on sales expertise, including business development and client relationship management
  • Strong ability to identify, engage, and close sales
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
