Director of Restaurants

Location: New York City

Compensation: $175,000–$200,000 base + performance-based bonus

About the Company:

We’re launching a high-energy, high-volume casual Italian concept in one of NYC’s most iconic landmark locations. With 500 seats across indoor and outdoor dining and a vibrant bar scene, this is more than just a restaurant—it’s a destination. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape a brand poised for expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pre-opening strategy and execution for a large-scale, high-volume restaurant
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant and bar operations across all areas of the venue
  • Hire, train, and mentor a top-tier management and hourly team
  • Collaborate closely with ownership and culinary leadership to maintain brand integrity and excellence
  • Ensure a world-class guest experience that drives return business
  • Manage budgets, labor, and P&L with strong attention to financial performance
  • Set and maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, and team culture

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of senior-level operations experience, preferably as a Director or GM
  • Multi-unit or large-format restaurant experience required
  • Proven success in high-volume, full-service environments (500+ covers/day)
  • Previous experience opening new restaurants from the ground up
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to inspire and drive performance
  • Deep understanding of NYC dining scene and hospitality culture
