As Assistant General Manager, you will serve as a key operational leader, partnering closely with the General Manager to drive daily performance, develop team members, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Leadership
- Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations.
- Ensure consistent execution of service standards, policies, and operational procedures.
- Monitor restaurant performance and proactively address operational challenges.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, vendor relationships, and cost controls.
- Help ensure smooth execution during peak-volume periods, special events, and private functions.
Team Leadership
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and retaining team members.
- Coach and develop FOH and BOH employees through ongoing feedback and mentorship.
- Support scheduling efforts to align staffing levels with business demands while maintaining labor efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Assist with performance evaluations and development planning for hourly and management team members.
Financial Performance
- Support achievement of sales, labor, beverage, food cost, and profitability goals.
- Monitor labor performance and assist in managing controllable expenses.
- Utilize operational reporting and restaurant technology platforms to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Help drive revenue through exceptional hospitality, guest retention, and operational excellence.

Compliance & Brand Standards
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations, liquor laws, safety standards, and company policies.
- Uphold company service standards, operating procedures, and brand expectations.
- Support the execution of local and company-wide initiatives.
- Champion the V Modern Italian culture and commitment to hospitality excellence.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, Service Manager, or similar leadership role within upscale casual, polished casual, fine dining, lifestyle hospitality, or high-volume restaurant environments.
- Demonstrated success leading teams in restaurants generating $3 million or more in annual sales; experience in restaurants generating $5 million or more is preferred.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, guest service, labor management, and cost controls.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and guest experience.
- Experience with restaurant technology platforms and reporting systems preferred.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
