Job Summary
The Senior Events Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and ensuring the achievement of sales targets within sbe venues and off-site catering. They oversee strategic planning, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate with other departments to align sales goals with business objectives.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Assume the role of senior sales manager for DRG brands and venues as well as off-site catering.
- Aggressive outreach activities to promote brand awareness and bring in new business. Activities include but are not limited to cold calls, cold emails, client hosting, client gifting, networking events.
- Weekly reporting on sales activity.
- Manage client contacts, proposals, and events through triple seat CRM.
- Responsible for tracking weekly pace report and meeting monthly and yearly sales quotas.
- Propose quarterly sales initiatives to move the needle and bridge gap to sales quota.
- Search for new business in different sectors (workplace, social, corporate).
- Work closely with marketing team for social media campaigns, showcase events.
- Manage event lifecycle from proposal to completion.
- Handle payments for events (wire, payment lock, check).
- Weekly update of BEOs, staffing requests, and all necessary information for the operations meeting. Weekly attendance of events, marketing & GM meetings is mandatory.
- Plan and assist in executing all booked events with the ability to manage client’s expectations.
- Develop working relationships with all clients, BOH, operations, staff, valet, and vendors.
- Provide logistical support for marketing and sales events for both onsite and off premises.
Competencies
- Individual must be personable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills a must (Outlook, Excel, Word, general databases)
- Emphasis in math skills for accounting assistance
- Flexible with respect to the demands and hours needed in this role and being willing and able to work evenings and weekends to support the Special Events team is a must.
- Must exhibit the ability to plan, prioritize, and demonstrate exceptional follow-up skills.
- Must be courteous, persuasive, client-focused, professional, and positive at all times.
Skills/Qualifications
- 2+ years of Event Sales experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or hotel environment
- Experience in database organization
- Basic understanding of legal contract language
