Area Manager – Restaurant Operations

Location: Los Angeles Area

Employment Type: Full-Time

Annual Base Salary: $110,000-$130,000 DOE

Position Overview

As the Area Manager of Restaurant Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing multi-unit operations within the Los Angeles market. You will ensure that service, execution, and team performance consistently meet brand standards while driving operational excellence and accountability across all locations.

This role is ideal for a seasoned multi-unit leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments, excels at scaling systems, and leads with clarity, empathy, and high standards.


You’ll Be Responsible For

Experience Leadership

  • Oversee the full guest journey—from digital ordering through order fulfillment—ensuring a seamless, consistent, and elevated experience across all locations

Team Performance & Culture

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of managers and hourly leaders
  • Foster a culture of accountability, support, and continuous improvement

HR & People Operations

  • Oversee staffing operations including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and labor compliance
  • Partner closely with HR to ensure consistent, compliant execution of people-related processes and documentation

Standards & Training

  • Develop, implement, and uphold operating procedures and service standards that drive consistency and operational excellence
  • Ensure training programs are executed effectively across all locations

Operational Execution

  • Drive seamless coordination across teams and departments
  • Ensure consistency, efficiency, and accuracy throughout daily operations and order fulfillment

Tech-Enabled Performance

  • Leverage customer feedback, operational data, and reporting tools to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance

Brand Representation

  • Uphold brand standards related to cleanliness, professionalism, aesthetics, and thoughtful service across all market locations

Metrics & Accountability

  • Own and manage KPIs including guest satisfaction, order accuracy, labor efficiency, and team productivity
  • Use data to inform decisions, coach leaders, and drive continuous improvement


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant or service operations
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain strong management teams
  • Strong understanding of operational systems, process excellence, and compliance
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices and labor law compliance
  • Experience with delivery-first or digitally enabled food concepts preferred
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including labor planning and budget oversight
  • Passion for clean food, modern hospitality, and team development
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and coaching abilities
