A premier chef-driven meal delivery platform is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Cuisine to oversee a high-profile culinary operation in collaboration with one of the world’s most celebrated chefs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the execution of the chef’s culinary vision at scale—balancing creative integrity with operational precision.

The position is ideal for a culinary leader who thrives in dynamic environments, has strong production and team management skills, and is excited to help redefine how chef-crafted meals reach households across the country.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen production, ensuring recipe consistency, culinary quality, and high standards of execution.
  • Serve as the key liaison between the Chef Owner and internal culinary and operations teams, ensuring the chef’s creative direction is honored in every dish.
  • Manage, train, and motivate a small team of cooks and associates in a high-volume, ready-to-eat meal production setting.
  • Uphold and enforce food safety, allergen labeling, and packaging protocols in line with rigorous company and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot kitchen challenges proactively while maintaining quality and brand standards.
  • Support the rollout of new menu items and seasonal launches in partnership with culinary development teams.
  • Track and report key kitchen metrics such as yield, waste, and labor to optimize production efficiency.
  • Foster a positive, high-performing kitchen culture centered around teamwork, pride, and culinary excellence.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience leading teams in a high-volume culinary setting (e.g., restaurant, meal prep, or food production).
  • Demonstrated ability to scale and maintain consistency in executing a chef’s culinary vision.
  • Deep understanding of food safety, kitchen operations, and allergen management (ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; hands-on and team-oriented approach.
  • Basic proficiency in spreadsheets and communication tools (Google Sheets, Gmail, etc.).
  • Conversational Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on foot for extended periods.
  • Valid Food Handler’s License required.


Additional Details

  • Work Location: Daily production at a commercial kitchen facility in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
  • Pay Range: $90,000 – $130,000 depending on experience, skills, and internal equity
