Position: Regional Director of Operations – North America
Location: Based in New York, NY | Extensive Travel Across U.S., Canada & Mexico
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
A leading global hospitality brand renowned for its excellence in fine dining is seeking a strategic and experienced Regional Director of Operations to oversee restaurant operations across all North American locations—including the United States, Canada, and a soon-to-launch Mexico market. This executive role is based in New York City and will involve extensive travel to ensure consistency in operations, team performance, and guest experience across the region.
Reporting directly to the COO and CEO, the Regional Director will play a key role in shaping and scaling the future of the brand’s North American footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the operational strategy and execution across all North American restaurants, ensuring brand standards and profitability goals are met.
- Provide direct support to General Managers, guiding day-to-day operations and long-term planning.
- Partner with executive leadership on business development, expansion plans, and market launches—including the upcoming Mexico location.
- Implement and monitor KPIs across all locations to maintain consistency, operational discipline, and a guest-first culture.
Team Development & Performance
- Mentor and develop on-site leadership teams across the region, ensuring effective training, accountability, and engagement.
- Oversee recruitment and succession planning for management-level roles.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that aligns with company values.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with culinary, marketing, HR, and finance departments to integrate operational initiatives and align strategies across departments.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations across all markets.
- Serve as the regional liaison for executive updates and field insights, supporting long-term organizational planning.
Financial & Business Management
- Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and P&L performance across all units.
- Identify operational efficiencies, cost control opportunities, and growth initiatives.
- Oversee procurement and vendor relationships across borders, ensuring consistency and quality.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of progressive hospitality operations leadership, with multi-unit oversight across diverse markets.
- Proven success in upscale or fine dining environments; international experience a strong plus.
- Strong track record of new unit openings and regional scaling.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on operational execution.
- Financial fluency in budgeting, P&L, and forecasting.
- Must be based in NYC and willing to travel extensively (60–75%).
